Malayalam Film Hridayam’s Take On Moral Uprightness & Violence

The next minute my philosophical mind floated this idea ” Humans are inherently evil, hence they are attracted to evil!’

and the subsequent thought that added up to this thought is the fabulous quote of C.S. Lewis, the theologian

“Oh Adam’s sons, how cleverly you defend yourselves against all that might do you good’

But again I reasoned back, what makes me think that am a better person than that bad boy

I think just like merit is an outcome not an inherent quality, i guess so is being a good person, if this is the case then me and that bad boy are at same level, and a level playing field

I had circumstances and resources and people that helped me make the good person i am, and he didn’t, that’s all the difference is ideally we both are the same!

Darshana reiterates this similar sentiment in the Malayalam film “Hridayam’

and also it is impossible to hate someone or beat up someone, if you believe that being a good person is an outcome like merit, and not an intrinsic quality

Much of violence flows out from the illusion of moral uprightness!
