Qala Movie Review

The film stars Tripti Dimri, Babil Khan and Swastika Mukherjee in lead roles. Irrfan’s son Babil Khan has made his acting debut with ‘Qala’. This is Babil Khan’s first Movie. His role is definitely small but in this he left no stone unturned to prove himself. Babil Khan has played the role of a folk singer in this film. The entire film revolves around Trupti Dimri i.e., ‘Qala’.

The film begins with ‘Qala’, a famous singer of the 1930-40s, fondly called Didi. Qala grapples with her painful past. Qala’s mother is a singer, and she wants Qala to carry on her father’s legacy. But she does not see her future in art and brings home a wonderful folk singer Jagan Batwal (Babil Khan) as her son. Art cannot tolerate all this, and that begins the game of hatred and revenge of art. The story of the film shows a daughter who wants to get praise from her mother by walking on any right or wrong path.

The litigants of Kashmir have been shown in the film. Snow gives a different colour to the film. The cinematography of the film is very beautiful. Music is the character of the story of film art and all kinds of songs take it forward. The look and style of all the actors are very comfortable and suited to the 40s.

It is wonderful to see Calcutta’s Howrah Bridge being built in the background and all the golden moments of music recording in the film. film heroine art. Looks great to watch. The film’s heroine Qala is called Didi who seems to be inspired by Lata Mangeshkar. Babil’s character seems to be inspired by KL Sehgal. Its speed is slow, due to which you sometimes become cumbersome. But it keeps you hooked to its story and acting of the characters. Tripti and Babil’s love got buried somewhere in the main story of the film, but the acting of both the actor with their own eyes makes a place in your heart.

The entire story of this film starts from the music and ends on the music. Jagan’s singing Nirgun on stage will touch your heart. Amit Trivedi, the music director of the film, also put his full effort, the effect of which was also seen. An attempt has been made to keep the music of the 30-40s, but still, you will get to see a glimpse of newness in it. If you want to watch a musical, suspense drama film from the comfort of your home, then ‘Kaala’ is the gift for you. Doing anything to get the success of Kala exposes a dark truth of this industry.
