Why Young Girls Must Be Taught To Become Confident Women

As a girl child passes into teenage and then adulthood, there is a complete transition. As girl children step into the teenage from childhood and then later to adulthood, they enter a stage of bring  free souls to being shy and conscious teenagers, and finally into responsible women Who do not want their daughter to turn into a confident woman when they grow up? This calls for some change in our attitude to make our daughter as strong and confident as boys and it is not a wild goose chase. Men and women no longer fit into their traditional roles and responsibilities but should equip themselves with various skill

There is a change of identity when a girl grows up into a woman. In their childhood, they are loved and protected and praised, given a pat on their back for the little progress they made. But what happens when they grow up? Are they cocooned in the same protective net? Surely not…When they move out of their home, life throws up challenges for them and they are exposed to an unpredictable world. They need strength and courage to withstand and sail through the challenges of the world – the courage to stand for themselves and voice their opinions when needed.

Who is a strong woman? How a girl child should be brought up so that she grows into a strong and confident woman? Well, a strong strong woman is someone who can take a decision on their own and put forward her opinions in front of others. She is someone who falls apart and then bounces back, she is someone who takes criticism in the right spirit and does not fall to pieces, someone who is fearless and able to take a risk, and someone patient when going through trying times.

Girls right from their childhood should be encouraged to take a healthy risks. They might not succeed in the task and then could be reprimanded by others for the same, but they would ultimately learn to step out of their comfort zone. Parents have an important role where can teach their daughters not to take failure to their hearts. Failure has something to teach them in their life. Once they fall, they would learn how to stand up as the real world is not rosy, it is full of challenges. They are the stepping stones to achieving bigger things in life.

It reminds me of the movie Dangal. The movie has depicted successfully that girls could achieve anything if trained properly and make up their minds to achieve it. They have to step out of their comfort zone and forge ahead with strong determination, they are indefatigable if their childhood is spent doing something challenging where failure is probable. In this way, they develop resilience.

At a younger age, girls should be encouraged and praised for their actions and little achievements rather than their looks. Rather than wearing pink, they should be encouraged and made comfortable to wear other colors too. They should be encouraged to express themselves freely, speak up when something wrong happens to them, and believe in themselves. Our society needs happy and confident women which will help increase the gross happiness and prosperity in our society.
