Meet Prof. Fischel, The Person Who Invented Exams

Board exams are yet to be over but annual home examinations are partly over. Those who are free from the examination pangs do not care about their study now as they are obviously awaiting their results. How strange does it look that they discard the textbooks with which they struggled the whole length of their academic year? The exact situation has got so dire that they are killing their time only upon useless things.

According to the oldest historical sources, exams were invented by Henry Fischel, a Philanthropist and a Businessman in the 19th century. He created exams to indicate students’ overall knowledge of subjects and test their ability to use their knowledge. Had he not created this particular concept, the students would not have been finding themselves in the examination system.

However, that German Professor seemed to have missed telling of how to spend post-exam days in relatively intelligent ways. That’s why the students pass their time in whatever ways they like to spend. Some even do not care about the results. They waste time upto the day the final results are not declared. The parents are sometimes overheard saying they are totally lacking in their daily habits.

This bent of mind undeniably annoys their mothers particularly. This develops an extra kind of antagonism between the mother and the son. One shout at, and another retort angrily, leading to an unacceptable situation in the family. When the fearless son does not mend his wayward ways, the worried mother leaves, correcting him as her confidence starts losing before the bad boy. And it is from this point the fragile foundation of a worthless son begins to shape. The son becomes more vocal and finds satisfaction in his doings. It has rightly been said that an empty mind belongs to the devil.
