It was the month of December when I was studying hard day and night because the term one board exam was just around the corner. After giving two board exams for class 12 and clearing the cuet for college entrance, I finally made it to Delhi University. I Have been listening to a lot about Delhi University from school seniors or cousins at DU. There were a lot of expectations from the college. The fantastic fest season, the college societies, fun days with friends and many other opportunities for the students. Someone told me Delhi University life is a hot mess.
Taking along these kinds of expectations, I entered college. The life in there was something else from the outside world. The dramatic society welcomes freshers with their entertaining skit, people dressed as if they have participated in a fashion show and these society’s interviews. These interviews are really like after I clear these interviews, they will offer me a one crore salary. 2-3 rounds of interviews for every society.
When you enter one of these societies, forget about your attendance because you will be coming to your college every day but never going to your classes. The essential thing I have liked about my college life is the crazy bunch of friends I have got. Even we started an Instagram page where we thought of making reels relating to college life for fun. But surprisingly, our very first video kind of worked out. It reached 500k+ views within a few weeks.

Whether DU life is a hot mess or not, I still need to figure it out, but within a few months, I know these few years will be one the best years of my life.
