American President Joe Biden’s unscheduled visit to Kiev has generated a lot of interest amongst the catchers forging a larger consensus towards amity between Russia and Ukraine. For any meaningful dialogue to begin it would be important for Putin to come off his state of war mind detrimental to any efforts of peace building, cooperation and coordination between both consumed by large scale casualties, tragedy and grief the onus squarely lies with Russia to take the lead accusing US and West of unnecessarily provoking, interfering and indulging in European affairs. For, US this is more than funnelling weaponry and ammunition to Ukraine as for the integrity of NATO which is at stake. Biden vouching for America’s iron will standing tall and supreme speaks volume of a realist American foreign policy not bowing to any compulsion against the domestic adventurism of Putin increasing his popularity and ratings, Biden seems to be taking a cautionary note playing the second fiddle by first diffusing the escalating situation trying to bring them board to the drawing board tiding over an impasse which has ruined and ruptured almost everything watering down hopes of any thoughtful reconciliation.
