Amid Pakistan’s Economic Breakdown Shehbaz Sharif Speaks

Pakistan is phasing through economic meltdown and churn down severely impairing and impacting the livelihood of common and ordinary. In this light Pakistan Premier Shehbaz Sharif,s statement espousing for peace and friendly relations with India encouraging for dialogue on vexed issues like Kashmir is being scrutinized as for the intensity and heat it has sparked. Sharif,s PML(N) is gradually loosing traction amongst the electorate with former prime minister Imran Khan holding onto his ground. Despite being thrown out of power in April last year Imran Khan has been on his toe galvanizing and gathering public opinion on the corrupt and dynastic political syndicates calling shorts from behind. Referring to the unholy alliance between PML(N) and PPP led by Shehbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto respectively, Imran Khan has categorically rejected this alliance as an alternative lacking ideas and values to lead the civic administration and bureaucracy. However, his observations were brushed aside forcing Pakistan to be on the verge of a brink with personality traits and cult challenging the very existence and soul of this strategic political arithmetic and adjustment. Probably, this could be the factor behind Pro-India stance by Shehbaz Sharif to shore up his base ahead of the crucial general elections ratcheting the rhetoric of friendly neighbours and cordial ties are but hollow and empty tokens diluting the discontent and disillusion of public painting a larger than life image of leader evident in the national and domestic politics of South Asia. How, a Pakistan treads from here will be everybody’s watch with this tussle of power postponing necessary reforms in a country banking on practices and preachings that has lost its sheen with the passage of time. Pakistan, bluntly refusing to take a leaf out of the past is jeopardizing it’s own moral and ethical considerations and pursuits.
