Part 1: My Great Indian Tour Has Begun

It would be a different experience for a person like me. I always prefer to be alone in my house or in my room. Even if I have to go for a travel, I go alone. Just like last month, I visited Uttarkashi and Kedarnath alone. But this will be the first time that I am going on a whole India tour, that too with 550 strangers. This journey of mine has started from Mumbai, but I am preparing for it in 2020 from Lockdown. Last year also I got a chance to join this Yatra, but it was not in physical form, yatra was through the internet and social media.

We started this journey from Mumbai on 24th December. Or today is 26th December. We are at Madurai station now. Our next stop is Kanyakumari. Kanyakumari is the last place in the South of India. Kanyakumari is a coastal town in the state of Tamil Nadu on India’s southern tip. Jutting into the Laccadive Sea, the town was known as Cape Comorin during British rule and is popular for watching sunrise and sunset over the ocean. It’s also a noted pilgrimage site thanks to its Bagavathi Amman Temple, dedicated to a consort of Shiva, and its Our Lady of Ransom Church, a center of Indian Catholicism.

Thank you for today. I’ll upload next blog tomorrow.
