Aam Aadmi Party has elected 39 year old Shelly Oberoi as it’s a mayoral candidate to which elections are scheduled for January 06th. Shelly won the MCD election from East Patel Nagar ward considered a BJP stronghold, visiting professor in Delhi University she has to her credit participated in many conferences and seminars in the best of her capacity. In my understanding, this decision definitely would give AAP upper hand in MCD with BJP backing out from announcing its candidate. Maybe, Arvind Kejriwal had already anticipated the move well in advance thus came the decision
