Indian information services is a central civil service .it’s formed in ist March 1960 in India. Indian Information Services officers are the media managers of the government.most of Indian information officers work in various media units which are under ministry of information and broadcasting.like:-DD news, all india radio,DAVP, etc. During their time press information beureau.they are posted with various ministries as a speakers to handle the ministry of information and communication needs and help in policy and formation.indian information Service was established as an organisation central service named central information service.(CIS)in 1st March 1960.iis undergo a three months foundation course at lal bahadur shastri national accedmy musoorie.this is followed by nine months of professional training in at Indian institute of mass communication .,new delhi .ii’s officers are also posted as a seekers to various constusnal bodies such as comptroller and auditer.general of india, election commission of India,and Saturday body such as centre bureau of investigation.
