Kapoor and sons is a movie about the Kapoor family, which explores the bond between the members. Arjun Kapoor (Siddharth Malhotra) and Rahul Kapoor ( Fawad Khan) return to India when their grandfather(Rishi Kapoor) experiences a heart attack; when the family is finally reunited, old and hidden, but ignored, scars break open and start to bleed, fight breaks out between the members, and as they are not ready to talk about it, the issues remain unresolved. The audience then joins the family on an emotional ride exploring the different creaks and corners of each of the members’ bond with eachother.
Alia Bhatt’s character, Tia Malik is a young woman who makes friends really quickly but often get embarrassed for her broken sense of humour; with a past that led her to lose her family, her character explores the emotions of an orphan and how the family is precious, but many fail to recognise the same.
The film is brilliantly cinematographer, and the emotions run really deep during every scene. A movie that explores the feelings of love, hate and betrayal between family members and that makes us realise how close yet distant familial bonds can be.
