Hamari Pahchan NGO: A Ray Of Hope For The Underprivileged

I believe if you can change even a single person’s life, contribute towards their better living, you are doing great and are helping in making this world a better place to live in. Hamari Pahchan, a Delhi based NGO, is doing wonders by changing and impacting so many people’s lives! Started by Tarun Mathur, a visionary by heart and mind who has been serving the Government of India in the aviation department for more than a decade and has also represented our country in a number of foreign nations as a professional chess player. Hamari Pahchan was started by Tarun in the year 2015 with a vision to make Delhi a safer place and devote itself to the people in need.

The NGO has been working relentlessly since its inception, towards the betterment of the weaker sections of the society in various ways. They focus on working towards the education of the underprivileged children, creating employment opportunities for the underprivileged by skill development and help them in becoming independent and creating their own ‘Pahchan’, helping in erasing the hunger of the hungry and helping the underprivileged women during their menstrual cycles by providing them sanitary napkins and menstrual hygiene kits. The NGO conducts various distribution drives, be it distributing blankets to the poor and needy during the cold season or providing them with food, distributing sanitary napkins to underprivileged women and even at the G.B. road of Delhi or being the Santa for the poor and innocent children and give them gifts on Christmas.

They have various projects which focus on particular causes. Drishti project focuses on educating the poor children, Sukhad project focuses on menstrual hygiene and awareness, Skill Development project to empower the underprivileged and help them earn a livelihood, malnutrition project focusing on eradicating malnutrition and hunger. They not only work these projects and conduct distribution drives, they also create awareness about various important topics like “good touch, bad touch” among young children, menstrual hygiene awareness among women, legal advice camps and so much more! You can also volunteer for them or do an internship with them and help them in bringing change in the society by helping in gathering donations from people and spreading their cause and awareness. In short, Hamari Pahchan NGO is the ‘Ray of Hope’ for the underprivileged and the needy people out there.
