Replacing Green Screens With CGI Hangs In Balance

“At the most basic level, Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) is the creation of still or animated visual content with computer software.”

CGI most commonly refers to the 3D computer graphics used to create characters, scenes and special effects in films, television, and simply games.

Foreign film making teams were not even going to bother replacing green screens with CGI anymore, as has been expressed by Kevin Feige, US film and television actor, adding that we are just going to put the actors in front of a green background, film the thing, and that is what the viewers will see in theaters essentially.

The actors will be seen wandering around a monotone green background and occasionally battling as they discussed plans to save the world. Why are they supposedly doing this?

Well, because the audience will accept eagerly whatever shit will be shown on the screen. “In fact, we might not even put the characters in their superhero costumes.”

People already know what those look like. They can imagine all the colorful action for themselves. What the hell else do you want? Probably we are not going to do anything special with the fresh idea. It is an effort to save millions in production costs with little effect on viewership.

Feige added that if the current experiment was successful, we might move toward a future in which it did away with visuals and audio entirely, making movies that simply entailed “sitting in a dark theater for two hours and 15 minutes”.
