Why I Agree With Elon Musk’s Lord & Peasants Comments

The moment Elon Musk declared on Twitter that “Twitter’s current lords & peasants system for who has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is bullshit. Power to the people! Blue for $8/month.” Almost 60% of the people with verified Blue Tick on Twitter started complaining and this in turn consolidated the fact that the new owner of Twitter Elon Musk was stating the truth.

For too long now, many people with that so called elusive Blue Tick have ruled Twitter like an oppressor. I mean look at how many of the. diss people who just comment under their tweet as Trolls, how often they use that Blue Tick on their profile to spread and fuel even fake narratives?

When people thought that Twitter Spaces will get a welcome relief,  they were in for a rude shock.  Look at how there are spaces where just the handles which have Blue Tick are allowed to speak and others are reduced to just mere audience and the host infact generalize them by saying “Hey Listeners,  please send us emojis Listeners “, I mean what is that? Are the people whose profiles don’t have verified Blue Tick on their profile just a fodder audience like the ones in “Comdey Nights with Kapil” show?

Let’s not forget the fact that many of them even tweet openly asking for donations to fund charity or relief work but then use all the money for their personal use. So how long will this class system continue? A Blue Tick made people think that they are the elite and the rest are just foolish crowd. Now if people want to flaunt such power on Twiter, then let them pay for it. Let them crib, because after all Elon Musk isn’t here to do charity on Twitter as he purchased Twitter by paying 44 Billion dollars and that’s much more than the Economic power budget of many countries, isn’t it? Afterall there is no free show or free meal.
