Pakistan Versus England: “The Boys Played Well!”

England emphatically won their second successive T20 world cup title defeating Pakistan by five wickets proudly clinching the trophies in their hands.

Ben Stokes crucial 52 turned to be quite decisive turning the tide in favour of Englishmen who played some extraordinary and fascinating cricket in this tournament with their indomitable spirit and exciting energy deserving to be the champions.

Earlier, Pakistan was deceived by some brilliant spells in the death overs by English attack wildly hunting for wickets in a pack reducing Pakistan to 137 in stipulated overs. Though, Rauf and Afridi were industrious and enigmatic in slowing down the English juggernaut.

But it was too late with Shahin Shah Afridi leaving the field suffering injury to his leg what remained was a formality as Stokes brought down the curtains rolling anchoring a brilliant chase that was pretty much ordinary as per his stature and standards.

No doubt, England had an upper hand after their magnificent victory over India in the semis Pakistan was way difficult to compete with given their strategy, skills and schemes in executing their on field programs which nearly took the English for a wonder ride.

A big moment was in the making keeping the integrity and credibility of gentleman’s game intact was but a task cut to size applauds for ICC pouring all their efforts and enthusiasm.

Well played guys!!!!
