NDTV founders Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy have resigned from board of directors RRPR Holdings Private Limited with iconic journalist Ravish Kumar too putting down his papers after the popular broadcaster was acquired by Adani group. For, independent and investigative journalism the momentum seems to be shifted with corporate conglomerates taking over the reason d’ affairs of big media houses gradually slipping into oblivion and a loss of credibility as a watchdog exercising its jurisdiction and discretion against arbitrary exercise of powers by different regimes and dispensations ascertaining itself more as their mouthpiece stepping back from speaking truth to power. Abhisar Sharma, Prasoon Vajpayee etc are few notables launching their YouTube channels specifically reaching out to their viewership effectively and efficiently bringing in a consensus for a tabloid culture where more and more freelance journalists seem to be challenging the unquestionable conquest of extraordinary state in all spheres and aspects of individual. At least acknowledgement should be there for those opposing this farce than for all bullying and bashing that goes on social media and IT cell factories grooming and nurturing hate and anger in our nerves, minds and bones opposing dissent and disagreements in my understanding like minded media professionals should come on a common platform for their collective aims, interests and objectives to be achieved and cherished as safety valve preserving the ethos and ethics of our deliberative democracy. A remedy acting as a panacea of all its misfortunes and misfires showing light at the back of tunnel
