Fighting A Feud

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot,s scathing attack against Sachin Pilot being a traitor weakening the Congress both internally and electorally in a state where traditionally governments have not been repeated. Gehlot, appears to be blunt and brazen standing by his stance slamming Pilot,s rebellion for bringing the party in total shambles at the behest of rival Bhartiya Janta Party dismantling and toppling elected people’s government taking advantage of this coup and crisis. From a nikamma to dhokebaaz publicly venting his ire at Pilot harbouring chief ministerial aspirations and ambitions literally overriding everything else. Mallikarjun Kharge,s election and elevation as President Congress has given a sense and belief of seeking justice for the better of party and government restoring the lost pride and momentum enthusing the rank and file ahead of next year’s assembly elections. In my assessment Gehlot seems to be restive and opposed to any kind of change within the party unit in favour of Pilot having serious ramifications leading to a brink of divide with an experienced hand like Gehlot pandering to trade of tricks not allowing room for Pilot wooing the high command buying time for a clarity of purpose unlike the chief minister making it conducive and convenient for his rival and opponent BJP to have an easy going bereft of any challenge. Removing Gehlot isn’t an option, anointing Pilot CM will be disastrous as for a consensus reflecting sentiments of legislators expecting the better of party extending and expanding its outreach initiating the resolution at the earliest should be the key amidst the gloom and haze.
