What Aryan, A Class 10 Student, Had To Say About The News

By Janshi Garg

Interviewee: Aryan Chaudhary, a class 10th grader

Aryan is a bright young student studying in tenth grade. He is a very polite and respectable figure in his class and a true friend to everyone around him. As popular as he is, he is also an all-rounder excelling in sports and academics. But like most teenagers, he is also in the middle of discovering his true dream.

The present youth doesn’t really have much craze for news and the same is for him. Apart from having to watch the news on TV when instructed by his parents, he isn’t really interested in the news. But it doesn’t mean that he does not realize its importance in life. He even stated, “NEWS is a very important source for me to find my aim for life and even though with baby steps but I am trying to create interest for news inside of myself.” But from it rose the question as to why is it that even after understanding its necessity, he still finds it unamusing to watch the news. Well, the answer was all clear when he said, “News is too violent. It makes me feel depressed and upset about the world outside.”

What he said is indeed true and a universal fact that can’t be changed for the timing because human nature has been so violent, fierce, and greedy. The world has been filled with grievance and jealousy for one another. People are killing each other just to please their own selfish desires. But we don’t face the fact that a world like this is not what the coming generation wishes for. They need a better world where they have the freedom of doing what they want while also respecting the wishes of others alongside them. If we can’t even give them the world that they desire then what is the meaning of fighting for petty things like money or power?
