A Psychology Professor In Jammu Died By Suicide

It has been a month since the suicide of Dr. Chandrashekhar, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology, University of Jammu. But the question still remains that why did Chandrashekhar commit suicide? 

This question is also related to Dr. Neeta, wife of Chandrashekhar, who is waiting for the disclosure of the SIT. Now even they have started feeling that an attempt is being made to suppress the investigation of this matter.

Now The SIT had sought answers to some questions from the CASH (committee against sexual harassment). They have now been sent. Now the SIT will interrogate the people of the committee face to face and the statements will be recorded.

Jammu : The investigation into the death of Associate Professor Chandrashekhar, Department of Psychology, University of Jammu, has almost been completed. In this, now only face-to-face interrogation with the CASH is left. Actually, the SIT had sought answers to some questions from the CASH. They have now been sent. Now the SIT will interrogate the people of the committee face to face and the statements will be recorded. After this the SIT will submit its report to the higher level.

Sources say that some evidence related to the investigation is to be collected with the help of FSL, whose report is awaited. It should be noted that it has been almost a month since the investigation of this case began. Even now the investigation is stuck on one question that why did Chandrashekhar commit suicide. It is noteworthy that Chandrashekhar had hanged himself in his room in the psychology department. Professor Chandrashekhar’s wife Neeta Shekhar says that the investigation of the case is going on at a very slow pace, which should speed up.

Work is going on to collect the necessary documents and record the statement in the investigation. Soon the investigation of this matter will be completed: SP Mamta Sharma, In-charge, SIT.
