Opinion: What Are Politicians Talking About If Not Apologising?

Dil hai Ki Manta Nahi”, This can be a line from a film but our political leaders appear to fall prey to this emotional apologetic pattern. Does this sentiment play a very wonderful part in communicating with the common people?

If it is not wrong Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot’s initiation for apology from his party’s High Command paved way for others.

Later a big leader had to seek an apology at a public meeting in Rajasthan. Incidentally, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reiterated the apology convention from the common people. Is this not taken up as a recurrence of an unmistakable political idea?

Amid the recent meeting held with Sonia Gandhi following the Rajasthan rift, the state Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot not only apologized for the entire episode but also assured her of accepting her every decision as a true Congress soldier.

Meanwhile, Narendra Modi, Prime Minister, did not bother to tender his instantaneous apology from delivering his speech after 10 p.m. at a recent public gathering at Abu Road in Sirohi referring to no loudspeaker rule.

What went on to declare openly for him was as such: “Mujhe pahuchne mein der ho gaye hai, mere atma kehte hai mujhe kanoon niyam ka palan karna chaiye. Isliye mein aap se shama manga hoon. (I have got late to reach here, my soul says that I should be following the rule of no loudspeaker). That’s why I apologise to you. ”
