Shah’s Seemanchal Stop

Amit Shah Bengal Rally

Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a stopover at Bihar’s Seemanchal with a motive to woo and win the support of Pasmanda Muslims, constituting a tiny proportion of SC within this community concentrated in pockets of Purnea, Kishanganj etc. Shah has a keen eye on the four lok sabha seats falling in this region by deputing leaders like Shahnawaz Hussain, etc.

The BJP might try to break into the pocket boroughs of RJD and JDU as it did in the 2020 assembly elections cobbling a secret understanding with Owaisi’s AIMIM denting RJDs hope and scope. But, with Nitish joining yet again with Laloo’s RJD matter completely look different from what it was when both JDU and BJP fought together. Bhartiya Janta Party employed all tricks and tactics, fielding Chirag’s LJP on places where Nitish’s JDU was the clear favourite, sternly sending a message to Nitish for not aiming too high, something which he had anticipated long ago.

Maybe, BJP is electorally and politically picking up from where it left, proposing to make Chirag Paswan a minister in the cabinet, focussing on electoral blocs in OBCs and MBCs other than Yadav’s and Kurmis etc. but some of its crucial political tasks and assignments in the run up to the assembly and general elections in the state slated for 2024 and 2025 respectively. Seems like Nitish and Tejashwi had already interpreted this indication serving tirelessly to make their ends meet to give Modi and Shah,s BJP a run for its money.
