Over the past few days rains has massively splashed Delhi /NCR exposing the poor drainage system clogging the roads and streets with our civic agencies and authorities bluntly refusing to learn a lesson or two from its last experiences and practices. Such instances arising again and again is a perfect reminder of how our functionaries and representatives remain indifferent towards our woes and foes as for them we are mere numbers to be cited, counted and documented as beneficiaries of one scheme or another apart from it they are not liable for anything like our netas who are opposite of what they preach and propagate. Its time to revisit and review the urban planning policy document involving the experts and specialists elucidating and elaborating on the skills and strategies to counter the menace of roads, streets and drains becoming terrible and horrible around the rains with a lack of cooperation, coordination and collaboration between different departments and agencies of municipal corporations like in the capital with both MCD and Delhi Government staking claims for their respective cess, dues and taxes alleging to different political viewpoints ie BJP and AAP but is it right to unfairly treat people for their legitimate entitlements. Not in the wildest of imaginations prudent it will be for both state governments and civic bodies to work in tandem for finding crystal clear solutions to the issues at large and not relegate it to to the bottom as for a collective consensus rarely to be found. Dear government hang up the smart city mission for a while in the best of interest of your Janta !!
