My Best Friend Tried To Trap Me In A Pyramid Scheme

The new movie “Brahmastra” has been trolled, loved, hated, and criticised by many. Different people had different views and I saw that the movie did quite better than some previous movies at the box office.

By the reviews and tweets; I somehow had no urge to watch the movie in the theatre, but scrolling through the screen brought me to the blog from Scoopwhoop which was hilarious as hell, and was talking about the dialogues in the film. Which was completely repetitive and worthless. No doubt people are going crazy for the VFX that is used for the first time like this in Bollywood.

There were many dialogues that as a writer left me speechless just I have always believed that writing has inspiration from daily life and it can connect with readers in a different way.

One of the dialogues just pops up a lot of memories to me “Tum Brahmansh ke member ban jao, main tumhe DJ se dragon bana dunga.”

In my 20s, I was always an opportunist towards my earnings and investments like now as well. Just a little more cautious and vigilant decision maker.

A business when Closest of your friend lays a trap: I used to talk in my office a lot about my aspirations and hence this happened; I was picked as prey to investing in some business where I have to fool people sometimes, and sometimes to convince them to invest further to make a chain. Well, I never understood the business and I knew it is not for me but somehow the way it was presented and portrayed, for whole one day I was stubborn to take a loan of 2.5 lakh and invest in this business. I was even assured by my best friend that if in 3 months I won’t be able to earn well and start paying off my debt, she will be the one who will do this for me (the friend was the same who wanted to put me in the trap); that made me clear that I can trust her. Thanks to my mom, who stood stubborn and didn’t allow me to take this step. Else, this would have been the worst step ever in my financial terms.

The era was of getting many friends for free: I was an active member of book talk shows and writing events. This trap becomes a next-level ruckus where people just start connecting with me initially very sweetly and then unveil the reality behind their meetings and when I retracted myself later they started showing anger when I straight away say no or just stop talking.

One of my friends also approached me; then my mom said to ask her why she is not asking her best friends and trying to make them rich. Damn, it’s a trap!!!

What this business and what promises it comes with?

It is a type of chain system where you pay 2.5 lakhs minimum and against it, you get some stuff like watches, eatables, fitness products which are most of the time overrated, and local. Then the work starts, you need to get more people like you and connect them by doing the same investment. The business allows you to think and become the owner of Audi and BMW in a year or so (sarcasm alert: in dreams).

The business allows you to party and network, and live your life in the name of working.

I have no personal grudges as everyone is not earning just by educating themselves, some are trying these shortcuts; that is not apt for everyone but for a few lucky ones.

Nothing in life comes this easy and without any hard work, by just enjoying and partying. It takes sweat and a hardworking soul to reach somewhere.
