Sidhu Moose Wala Murder Accused Killed In An Encounter With Punjab Police

An encounter broke out in Amritsar between the Punjab Police and two gangsters involved in the killing of Punjabi singer, Sidhu Moose Wala. The operation of the “Anti-Gangster Task Force” of Punjab Police was going on in Chicha Bhakna village of Amritsar. The whole area has been cordoned off by the police.

As you may know, Moose Wala was shot and killed in the Mansa district of Punjab, by some unknown sharpshooters.

Coming back to the encounter between Punjab Police and the gangsters, it is over now. Moose Wala murder accused and gangsters, Manpreet Manu and Jagroop alias Roopa, were killed. This has been confirmed by the Anti-Gangster Task Force chief, Pramod Ban. Punjab Police DGP, Gaurav Yadav had reached the encounter site, too.

Cops got information about the gangsters hiding in a village. Police personnel had covered the village from all sides and closed off all the entry points .This village is located near the Attari Pakistan border. After they cordoned off the village, they started their operation. The gangsters opened fire on the police. In response, the police also opened fire.

The whole village was reverberating with the sound of gunshots. Firing continued from both sides. Around 100-120 rounds were fired. Several, senior police officers were present. It was reported that four people, including the two sharpshooters have been died.

The police appealed to all the villagers to stay inside and not to come out of their homes till they were given further orders. Police had reached the spot with an escort of dozens of vehicles. Ambulances and bulletproof vehicles were also present at the spot.

Media Persons were also injured in the encounter. It is being told that a policeman was also been injured. Nothing about the accused persons is fully clear yet, whether they were gangsters or terrorists. The body of the slain people have brought to Amritsar.
