“I Enjoyed Some Incredible Moments With My Family During The Lockdown”

Two years ago, when a nationwide lockdown was imposed by the prime minister due to the outbreak of Covid-19, many families (along with mine) were bound to come closer and get to know each other well. It was one of the most soothing and enjoyable experiences of my life which I shared with my family.

I know how horrible and mentally stressful the situation was for daily wage workers and middle class families. We all feared for our own lives. Many of us were starving for essential goods. I am amazed at how we could survive such a debilitating situation!

But, believe me, we have come so far now—with vaccines being widely available and crores of people vaccinated against the virus.

There were some incredible moments I enjoyed with my family while we stayed at home. Our daily routine was quite common during pre-Covid-19 times. However, it became much more special as we shared our feelings and bonded during the lockdown.

I Became A Better Person During The Lockdown

We played various indoor games, watched old Doordarshan serials, cooked and tried a variety of dishes etc. Many of us acquired new skills and hobbies. On top of this, we truly felt like we had bonded with our own selves and the nature around us.

We were overwhelmed by religious sentiments, too. I had felt the need to better understand my family values for a long time. Fortunately, I came to understand their importance in my life during the lockdown.

We are all living in a digital world where everything has become more convenient than it was a decade ago. These days, people are pretty active on social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. However, one hardly gets to spend quality time with their loved ones.

The harsh reality is that when people start caring more about money, status, and power, than their soul’s happiness. In such a case, relationships lose their worth.

The Lockdown Has Changed How I Look At Life

From the very first day of the lockdown till the date of me writing this, everything has changed in my life. I became more responsible towards my family. I became more trustworthy.

The lockdown has changed the way I look at my life and others. Whenever I feel alone and sad, I realise that there are many people out there feeling the same way I do.

Now, I don’t take things for granted anymore because you never know what will happen in your life, whether wonderful or terrible. Life is all about an unexpected series of events occurring one after the other. All you need to do is stay strong and fight back!

To conclude, the pandemic has severely shaken up the world. Many have lost their lives and jobs because of it. Despite all this, there is a ray of hope and ambition among the people, who are striving to do better each day. These people look forward to transforming their lives.

Therefore, I leave it up to you to decide what you think the ongoing pandemic is: the test of our times, or a life-changing opportunity…
