Crime: whenever we came across this word, different ideas of guilt and sin begin to generate themselves in our minds, automatically. In our everyday life, we have to confronts such deeds which may lead us astray, divert us from the right path to the wrong one.
There are some rules and regulation in every society to deal with criminals. These rules may act as a hindrance to those who want to commit crimes.
The number of crimes committed since the creation of the universe have been endless, be it bribery, nepotism, black marketing, murder, drinking alcohol, zina (pre- or extra-marital sex) etc. These are some crimes we know of as social evils.
Besides these crimes, there are other crimes which are directly linked to the human personality, including envy, hatred, pride etc. If I turn my pen to the topic ‘the only crime is pride’, it will be crystal clear to you that pride is the root cause of every evil. It can turn a human into a bad being.
Pride can be defined as considering yourself superior from other human beings in every sense. A person who takes pride in themselves doesn’t realise the pain of others. According to them, they are the only one who has the power to rule over others.
Having an abundance of money and worldly luxuries, doesn’t mean that you begin to consider other beings inferior and try to humiliate them.
Being a Muslim, I am well acquainted with the fact that pride is a sin which will never be neglected on the day of judgment. A person who is addicted to this crime will face great anguish.
To wrap up the whole discussion, I will say this: being a good human being and Muslim means that we must treat our fellow beings with great care and sympathy. It will help eliminate the sorrows of those who are suffering, and it will also raise the status of those who soothe the suffering of humanity.
