Rummy
Rummy is a hot favourite of the online gaming community for a good reason. There are multiple perks in the offering with something in store for everyone when you play a rummy game online. Apart from unlimited entertainment and fun, you get the opportunity to play with the best players in the country and win cash and other exciting prizes.
The rules:
Two to six players play rummy. The game’s objective is to arrange the 13 cards in required combinations, namely sequences or sequences and sets. This is done by players picking cards from the closed/open deck and discarding cards to the open deck on their turn.
There are two jokers used in rummy: printed jokers and wild jokers. To make a valid declaration, you must have at least two sequences in hand, one of which must be a pure sequence. The remaining two required combinations can be either sequences or sets. The player who makes a valid declaration first wins the game.
Teen Patti
Teen Patti is a household Indian card game that has become popular all over South Asia. Inspired by a British card game called 3-card brag, it is also known as Indian poker due to its similarities with American poker. The game is also called “flush” or “flash” in certain areas.
The rules:
Teen Patti is often played by three to six players and a standard card deck. Like other poker games, teen Patti begins with a bet. Before the cards are distributed, players bet on a fixed sum.
After a player has placed a wager and the total amount has been collected from all players, each player is dealt three face-down cards. The boot amount is the smallest sum of money at stake retained in the pot. The pot is placed in the centre of the table.
After the player and the dealers have been dealt three cards, the next step is to make a call or a raise. A call is when a player will continue in the game but will not increase their stake, whereas a raise indicates that the player will be adding money to the pot, risking to win or lose more than the initial wager.
However, it should be noted that betting in teen Patti is not the same as playing poker. In Teen Patti, all bets must be in equal amounts, which means that if a player bets two coins and another player bets four, the first player must place four coins instead of just two to the earlier two.
As the game progresses, the cash amount grows and is won by the individual who stays in the game until the end of the round and has the best or highest hand. After that, it is decided based on the order of the cards, from highest to lowest.
Bridge
Bridge is one of the most popular card games in the world. With countless newspapers still publishing bridge columns, there are more books on bridge than any other game in the world except for chess.
The rules:
Bridge is a four-player trick-taking partnership game with 13 tricks in each deal. A standard 52-card deck is used to deal 13 cards to each player.
A trick begins when one of the players leads or plays the first card. The bid determines the leader of the first trick. The player who won the last trick is the leader of the following trick. In clockwise order, each player plays one card on the trick. Unless they have none (referred to as “void”), players must play a card of the same suit as the original card lead.
The player who plays the highest rank card wins the trick, and the objective is to score as many points as possible in every bid.
Poker:
Combining wagering and strategy, poker is a casino game that can also be played at home. Thanks to the popularity of online gaming, you can now play poker online too. Poker is a game with a glitzy history, having featured in numerous films and TV shows.
The origin of poker can be traced back to North America, and it is in this continent poker is the most popular. However, the fun game is catching on in other countries too.
The rules:
The goal is to win the pot, the total of all bets placed by all players in any given deal.
The pot can be won by holding the best poker hand or making a bet that no other player calls. The different kinds of hands are royal flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, straight, three of a kind, two pair, one pair and high card.
There are two to seven players in a game of traditional poker. The dealer deals the players two cards beginning with the person on their left. That player will be the first one to start each round. The players have two choices: Bet or check (do absolutely nothing).
If any of the players choose to place a stake, the others have the option to:
- Call (equal the amount of the wager)
- Fold (drop the game)
- Raise (make a bigger bet than the bet made in the current round. All the other players have to equal the raise or raise again if they want to stay in the game).
The round continues until everyone has called or all bets are in the pot in the middle of the table.
Solitaire:
Traditionally a single-player tabletop game, solitaire card game was made widely famous by Microsoft in the 1990s. Today the card game has evolved in the digital landscape, with multiplayer games available in various formats where players even have the option of winning money. No wonder it is a favourite of online card players everywhere.
The rules:
In a solitaire game, the player must create four piles, known as foundation piles, of cards (one for each suit). The bottom stack is the playing field, also known as the tableau. The objective of solitaire is to move all the cards from the tableau columns to the foundations, arranged by suit and in ascending order from ace to king.
Solitaire is an excellent option for anyone looking for some healthy entertainment. It has objectives like completing the game without reaching a roadblock and finishing within a time limit.
