Villagers themselves made temporary wooden bridge

Sitapur: After leaving the wait, the villagers themselves prepared the bridge in some way, on which the traffic has started. This alternative arrangement bridge has been built outside Lodhpurwa village. The wooden bridge standing on the batis may not be strong, but it is a symbol of the courage and solidarity of the villagers. This bridge has been built only two days ago. It has been made by Sabir Ali, Jaglal, Sundar, Madhav, Ramnaresh, Sandeep and Baur of Lodhpurwa together.

Lodhpurwa is situated 100 meters away from Reusa-Bahraich road to Chahalari link road. A culvert was built outside the village, which was washed away by a stream of water in last year’s floods. The villagers tell that they asked the public representatives many times to get this bridge built. Appealed to the administrative officials who came to inspect the flood, but the culvert could not be built. Ghaghra is in spate for two days. The water of the river has come into the drain outside Lodhpurwa village. With the construction of this bridge, it has become easy for the people of Lalpur, Dhobinpurwa, Bhikhan Singh Purwa, Gharapar, Gumai, Rajapur, Godianpurwa, Bhikhan Singh Purwa along with their village Lodhpurwa. The bridge is wooden, weak. Therefore tractor-trolley or bullock carts are not able to cross, but two-wheelers are passing carefully.

This canal is booming. The villagers told that seeing the rising water level of the flood in the drain, they had started building the bridge three days ago. Searched the houses and then made a plastic rope. Then the villagers together raised the ball in the drain and laid the rails and the bridge was built.

MLA Seuta Gyan Tiwari said that asphaltization of Chahlari Lik road from Bahraich road has been done. There is a problem of culvert near Lodhpurwa, it will be repaired after the flood ends. Its estimate has been made.
