What’s Behind The Reduction In Fuel Prices On The Occasion Of Diwali?

Who would not be surprised to see any sort of nominal reduction in petrol and diesel prices during the bleak days of November? The ₹12 decline is the first introductory step on the future straight reductions in the unusual style. Bizarre as it appears to be, such a revolutionary measure was taken by both the centre and a few states under the clout of the saffron party.

How could it not be a tad bit rare? The humble people have come to realise that it is benefitting one and all. Yet, with all of that, they did not seem to know what to do amid the earlier statement of a minister who said that only 5% use petrol while 95% do not quickly move with the vehicle for short or long ends.

This obvious and precise figure about the vehicle users has come from a minister. And confidently, none could have predicted it, but with the news that has been rolled out on various channels, it sure seemed to be in the right place, at the perfect time, with a calculation which the particular minister had put in strongly.

It is being asked, why has the Congress in its ruling states and TMC in West Bengal not shown similar humility and political will to bring down the fuel prices? If Modi can offer Diwali gifts, why are Rahul Gandhi and Mamata Bannerjee lagging for their association with such a noble cause?

Though the people infer in an ample way that this generous deed is not going to fetch Nobel Prize for our political leaders, yet it could be taken up as a moral and ethical exercise given the unbearable price rise of all the commodities of daily use.

Why are critics rejecting the lowering of the petrol prices by attaching the grand move with the camel that finds the one grain of cumin worthless at a time or always? Walking on the risky road remains dangerous, but the downward direction of the oil prices can be regarded as something more than special. It is just possible on the festive occasion of lights undeniably.
