BJP And AAP Play Politics Over Chhath Puja Celebrations

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as well as the ruling AAP are busy pointing out credits facilitating and arranging resources for devotees offering Chhath puja. From declaring holiday to distributing freebies, they are trying everything and anything for their electoral gains and guarantees. This has become the best for these parties, with voters from the Purvanchal region forming a huge chunk of their arithmetic and base.

But why do these parties slip into oblivion when it comes to bettering the lives and livelihoods of this significant section alarmed by the consequences of lockdown wresting whatever little they had from social to economic as for boldly and bravely facing the changes and challenges of it. Did they get any benefit out of the schemes run by the Centre and Delhi government under any pretext?

The BJP as well as the ruling AAP are busy pointing out credits facilitating and arranging resources for devotees offering Chhath puja.

If not then, how can we at all believe their representatives who are neck-deep in stirring plots and propaganda for the better of it? Accusations and counters aren’t as convincing as they used to be earlier, with the AAP positioning itself firmly in a semi-state like Delhi, where it won 62 of the 70 Assembly seats.

Riding and risking over rucks won’t offer respite to any of the parties as for people who closely, culturally and emotionally associate themselves with the signs and symbols of rituals and faith. Pushing and pulling themselves up will do for both the AAP and BJP instead of a sulking slugfest landing short of political recognition and rewards.
