The Political Tamasha Under Adityanath’s Governance

Why is Yogi Adityanath’s Uttar Pradesh government indulging in nonsense arrest and detention of the Opposition leaders visiting Lakhimpur Kheri in their capacity? How will it aggravate the situation on the ground when, at the very first instance, the administration has desisted from arresting the perpetrators of the violence rather than booking all those demanding accountability and transparency from the ruling regime?

Terming them political tourists is the admission of guilt by the functionaries of the Bharatiya Janta Party falling short of anything better at the moment. Seems like, under Adityanath, the BJP has largely remained inept and incompetent in potentially devising its strengths and strategy, extending itself ideologically and organisationally.

As for the baggage of the Hindu Yuva Vahini overshadowing the acknowledgement of the BJP’s leadership stemming from a Rajnath Singh to Manoj Sinha sincerely offering the best of their services to the party with which they have been associated and engaged. But by appointing Yogi, the BJP made itself walk a tough electoral road marred by fractions and frictions that will be hard to heal.

It would be interesting to note how the party moves from here with an ascendant Adityanath wanting to take a leaf or two out considering his clout and clamour amongst the hardline conservative sections of Hindus. This makes for an interesting political pronouncement.
