Quick Bytes: Why Is People Offering Namaz Being Communalized?

Representational iamge.

Why for urban middle-class offering namaz in the open has been exceedingly problematized and communalized by forces inimical to the interpretation and understanding of Islam. Are, they qualified enough to distinguish between a namaste and namaz with folded hands to his highness the almighty referred to as Ishwar and Allah but for their inherent short-sightedness these sections becoming slaves of religious texts, signs, and symbols altering their acceptance and articulation of the other which has to be treated and targeted with impunity. More recently, a city like Gurugram has born the brunt of it with many opposing the decision of the local administration to offer Friday prayers out in the open hugely discomforting those not liable for exceptions.

The point is when the district magistrate has already allowed them the space to practice and propagate their faith and rituals than reacting fiercely and wildly doesn’t serve any rationale and reason rather overstretching the crisis further and further. It would be better for these so-called civil society groups to create a conducive environment for constructive deliberation and dialogue if not for becoming a pawn of propaganda postponing settlements and negotiations as for these rabid communal units and outfits perfecting with their means, measures, and merits. Conservatism can’t be a refuge for being consciously and culturally civilizational.
