Bangladeshis living in Canada have condemned the attacks on Hindu temples, businesses and homes in different parts of Bangladesh during the Durgotsab. The attacks were condemned in a human chain on the premises of City Hall in Saskatoon, Canada on Monday.

At the time, the speakers said, during the Awami League government, which nurtured the ideology of the war of liberation, barbaric attacks on the Hindu community took place at various places including Ramu in Cox’s Bazar, Shalla in Sunamganj and Nasirnagar in Brahmanbaria. As the perpetrators of these incidents have not been given exemplary punishment, the radical groups are showing courage to attack one after another. This is creating questions in the minds of the people about the goodwill of the government.

President of Saskatoon Puja Celebration Council Uttam Pal, General Secretary Sudipta Dutt and Arjun Kumar spoke on the occasion. Press Release
