I am super thrilled to be a part of this journey with you and hence, I have come up with a foolproof strategy that will help you reach a far ahead of the rest in your race for CLAT 2022.
If you have the right CLAT preparation strategy and mindset, then you have enough time to make or break things. Don’t give in to self-doubt or a Plan B. I can tell you over a thousand times, “You can do it”, but, it’s the self-talk that makes all the difference. So make good use of this time; understand that this world is run by the doer. Just do what you have to do and make your dream of being among the top ranks in CLAT 2022 come true. Just in case you skipped preparing for CLAT 2012, get back up and make the most of the CLAT preparation plan. I am going to share it with you.
Let’s get started!
Step 1: Know The CLAT Syllabus
Before you assume that CLAT top-scorers belong to a different species, understand that CLAT 2022 is just an exam. Understand how well you need to equip yourself to crack the cleat. Once you have researched the syllabus, pattern etc. for CLAT 2022, you will realise that CLAT is within your reach. While you’re here, I’ll help you understand what CLAT is. If you think that you are weak in the CLAT subjects and it is tough to crack, you can join a CLAT course for CLAT 2022.
This simple exercise will help you understand that CLAT 2022 can be achieved if you execute the CLAT preparation plan with discipline.
Step 2: Scan The Original CLAT Papers Of Previous Years
CLAT was first conducted in the year 2008 and you will appear in CLAT 2022, which means you have a set of actual CLAT papers of the last 10 years. You must perform this step as early as possible as this exercise will give you a very clear idea about the difficulty level of questions, important topics and most importantly your current level of CLAT preparation. This is a smart strategy because of how much effort you actually need to put in on different subjects.
Step 3: Practice Lots Of Mock CLATs To Assess Your Strong And Weak Topics
Some subjects are easier on us than others. CLAT Syllabus comprises of five subject areas – English Language and Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude and Mathematics.
From a CLAT preparation point of view, you will be able to find out where you stand in each of these subject areas only after practising a handful of CLAT mocks. CLAT mock scores will give you a clear picture of your strong subjects and relatively weak subjects. At this stage, it is quite normal to have more weak subject areas than strong areas. Do not worry. Keep going. Keep chasing your dream.
Step 4: Analyse The Mock Test
Suppose you have attempted more than six mock CLATs but there has been no improvement in your score. You are doing everything right on your part.
Chances are you are not analysing the mocks you are appearing for. If you are investing two hours in solving mock CLATs, make sure you spend double the time assessing your mistakes. Keep a close watch on what dropped in your score, what mistakes you are committing often, and what your thought process was while solving a particular question that you answered wrong. Discuss your mistakes with a mentor or a friend. Once this is done, make sure you don’t make the same mistakes again.
Step 5: Prepare Smartly And Work On Your Timetable With Discipline
I know you must have heard this advice many times — ‘Make a timetable.’ I would say, make one but cleverly. CLAT preparation is a balancing act. There are schools, colleges, family, friends, and the list goes on. You have to take out time to prepare for CLAT consistently. Once you have identified your strong and weak subject areas, divide the available time between polishing those topics and working hard on those that require extra effort from you. Make a timetable that suits you because who knows you better than you.
Step 6: Give Your 100% To CLAT 2022
You and me, we both always know what to do, not us? Still, the problem is that we don’t do what is necessary. We avoid hard work. We wait for luck to smile at the last minute. I started by telling you that if going to National Law School is your dream, don’t pursue it. Give it your best shot. Be confident, stay positive and believe in yourself. Nothing great happens without discipline.
