Why We Should Still Be Talking About Climate Change

climate strike

How long will it take to understand that we are in the danger zone? We are still reading articles in newspapers that climate change issues, bio-diversity effect, wild animal and human conflict issue, development increase and environmental issue compromise.

Why? We are very easy to adopt anything in this universe like technology, artificial intelligence, even digital life, but do not play with earth environment we can’t even ready to accept.

Let’s take the example of the cyclone. In the last 2 years, we heard about the cyclones in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea continuously. Even I face the issue in the western ghat location. What is life? It’s due to climate change.

Let’s take another issue which happened in our beautiful Uttarakhand. The glacier burst and the Alanknanada river flooded one of our villages. So many lives were taken.

Above I have given an example of monsoon and climate-related issues. Take a look into Himachal, Uttrakhand and Orisa forest fires. So many trees and the livelihood of wild animals have been affected. This is all due to climate change and human anthropology.

Suddenly monsoon has come, flood has come. All these things do not happen suddenly. It’s all done by our mistake and result which has been faced by us suddenly.

We have Fevikwick in the market to join broken things, but we can’t give life to someone. We are compromising with the environment, but not with development. Why? I know there is a requirement to grow with technology and transport and development. But everywhere?

Recently, the Government of India has decided to develop Andaman Nicobar into Shanghai city in China. So, do you think that our beautiful Andaman island’s, where a huge hotspot of biodiversity, aquatic animals, etc., can be compromised but we humans can’t?

Ken-Betwa link project has been signed, so we have to think about the animals at the riverside.

As per sustainable development goal number 13 has been defined to deal with climate action where all developed and developing countries can work towards lowering carbon emission because we have only one Earth, there is no plan B for the compromise. Still, we are making all those mistakes which are harmful to all our living.

This is 2021 and I hope we understand these things and work towards this. Every politician should be talking about the environment or climate change at their rally. If not necessary, no need to develop protected areas. At least every news channel should talk about this once a week.

Abhi nahi jage to ab kab jagenge.
