Whatever rival parties may say, Rahul Gandhi has shown his vitality and physical power before the young lot of the country. He tried to set a new trend to follow him and it all happened in the best way possible. His push-ups weren’t bad, the students realised. All his nervousness appeared to have vanished with his exercise. He could falter in shaving, but cares much about his bodily fitness. Thereby, he stands with the golden formula of ‘Health is wealth’. So far, the Opposition parties’ mockery of his exercise has not popped up. However, there might be serious talks on finding a calculated pungent answer on this viewed point.
While there is a record of 27 push-ups in 10 seconds, Rahul Gandhi did not flinch from completing as many as 13-15 push-ups in nine seconds. Rahul Gandhi did 15 push-ups and even ended the drill with a one-arm push-up. Students at the ground responded with loud applause and cheer. This showed his sturdy muscles and solid stamina, something that male members of the Congress party accept is needed to serve the countrymen.
He has caused a flutter by doing not one, but many push-ups with the help of one-hand, at Mulagumoodu in Tamil Nadu. Incredible, indeed. A tremendous, extraordinary and remarkable feat. It did not disappoint the students present there, despite it being a politically motivated event. Students were in full force, giving a joyous look for the rest of the event to rejoice over. And for that, it was natural to thank them.
This was a new look for the political star of Gandhi-Nehru scion, who had not exhibited his shouldered strength previously. He wasn’t wearing the usual politician’s outfit, which wouldn’t have been suitable for the programme. The concept of modern day wear seemed more dated with every stylish look over the past months.
Far from donning his casual loose uniform, Rahul was dressed in the some unapologetically foppish way. And then, of course, we saw how students were exchanging handshake with a favourable smile across their radiant faces and enviably pleased with the youthful leader’s unique exercise on the dias.
