This Is How The Pandemic And Social Distancing Changed Long Distance Relationships

love

As soon as we hear the word ‘pandemic, our mind directs or compels us to think about the coronavirus (Covid-19). It has been more than a year since we are being hunted by this virus. Pandemics have existed in the world for a long time, although we have been strong enough to fight against them. But when it comes to Covid-19, it has brought the world to its knees.

The way Covid-19 impacted our lives has been significant. It has caused devastation in the world. To reduce the effect of the virus, we made some changes in our lifestyle, which also impacted our love life a little too much. It has changed the meaning of life. Everyone has to see others with suspicion and maintain social distance because this is the only way one can keep themselves safer.

Social gathering is the backbone of society, but we had to sacrifice such gatherings as well, which made us pole apart from our loved ones. Nowadays, we keep ourselves busy for the sake of being productive, and when we come back home from the workplace, we need nourishment and love from our loved ones. This is the only thing that makes us alive and gives us refreshment.

But we were being deprived of all this initially, when the pandemic had just hit the world. Even though things are getting normal, we feel unsafe to get close to them. This is how the pandemic has changed our lives.

Some of us who are in distance relationships have not been fortunate enough. Things are quite bad for them even now, as we used to go to our partners’ places often before the pandemic to spend some quality time. They were not able to do so since all transportation was shut down to prevent the spreading of the fatal virus. They had to keep themselves locked in their premises, willingly or unwillingly. That was the most horrible experience to ever have.

Since we started following social distance, it has totally ruined our social life as well. Certainly, we must have missed the places where we loved to be with our loving ones. This absence has made us be apart. Although places are opening up again, warmness and harmony are still not there. Scientists have invented some antidotes and we all are hoping that they would be efficient and prove to be a boon that saves the world from the apocalypse we are in.
