Philia can be defined as fondness, likeness, arousal or love towards something as an extreme form. The emotional drive could be so much that it may also become an obsessive or excessive desire to acquire a certain thing or experience. Such may involve certain repeated behaviors or habit forming in such a way that the fondness may seem mindless, useless or wasteful for the person by the society but they themselves may be deriving huge pleasure out of it.
