The whole world is suffering from coronavirus. In some way, we are all warriors, who are defeating it every day. There are front-line warriors like doctors, police, and government workers, who are supporting and helping us wholeheartedly. But there are some warriors that are often overlooked, but they were serving their duty to us in every second of every minute.

Well, they were our society workers/guards who are continuously helping us in these hard times. In this article, we will see a glimpse of them as fearless fighters. So, let’s take a look at their story and know about their life in the pandemic.“Learned to live with it” said a security guard, Mr Gaikwad. In the housing society in which he is currently working, For the last 7 months, he has been effortlessly doing his duty in long working hours without any complaint.

As he was sharing his experience, it seemed that he was happily working for the society.“A Smile can hide anything” that phase reminds me. Just because they don’t express it doesn’t mean they haven’t faced heavy time.

Speaking further to him he shared that he faced some resistance from his family, as they were hesitant for him to continue his job as they feared for his safety and well-being. But somehow he managed to convince his family, as he is the only earner in his family. Even after they know that there is no vaccine available at this time, even then he risked his life to work only for his family. He was afraid at the beginning about his decision of continuing his job, but eventually, he decided to continue his job for the sake of his family.

Mr Gaikwad’s Experience

But Mr Gaikwad said this decision was one of the best he made. The housing society never troubles them, but they helped them in all the ways possible during these hard times. They provided them with monthly Rashans and some individuals were also helping them by providing them with daily meals. He also mentions that they didn’t have any issue with the monthly payment as they received it on a monthly basis. The society also arranged for their commute.

The local authorities also supported them in all the ways possible. People of the society also arranged a ceremony to appreciate their dedication during the ongoing pandemic. As they all stood on their balconies and showed their gratitude by clapping and distributed monthly food supplies to them and showed their respect. Respect the security guard in the same way he does. We should always be thankful for them and show our respect and love towards them. They are human too.
