On Team India’s Recent Decimal Decline In Australia ODIs

Team India’s decimal decline in Australia calls for a dress-up. IPL was a different ball game and exceptionally different from what we witness in the ODIs. This message should be loud and clear to Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli who pick up the squad keeping this fact and familiarity in mind.

The last few years have seen little progress when it comes to an all-round bowling attack on foreign soil. Except for a few occasions, the attack and aggression have almost been missing from the scene. Middle and death overs were our finest illustrations as for the inability of our main bowlers to deliver at the crucial leg of the innings, conceding too many runs impacting our run chase as for our batting order missing the finish line.

Those guys shouldn’t be held guilty at all for their lack of exposure to the conditions of the international format. Though we lost the three-match series to Australia but shouldn’t an honest assessment and evaluation be taken up by our selectors, coach and captain? BCCI should step up its efforts in taking stock of the crisis in hand. I simply ask this- when we have a round the clock cricketing season, then why do we fail to produce exceptional and outstanding talents?

In this regard, the Australians are far ahead than us as for their understanding of the game, designating the charge and command to the ones delivering for them. Let’s bring this overseas embarrassment to its conclusion as for the below-average performance, presence and participation of our boys in this series. I don’t know when the moment to dress and deck up will arrive for our team or if it is too late to anticipate any? I have my own genuine doubts and concerns.
