When I was a kid, Sunday was a very special day for me. My mom had subscribed to the weekly Tinkle digest, and I used to love reading it. Comics, beautiful comics, and colourful comics. I have always wished I could make a comic of my own.
When quarantine happened, I started writing many things on my blog about disability awareness. I always thought that I would not get tired of writing about this topic. Soon, I was lacking in my ideas. I didn’t know what more could I that hasn’t already been written about. I wanted to write more and spread awareness about disability.
I have always wondered why my favourite comics don’t have characters with a disability, as children should know what disability is all about. I want friends, with whom I played with in my apartment, to understand me and my disability. That is why I thought, inclusive education or knowledge about disability is important!
It was as a blessing in disguise that I found my old comic book in my cupboard while I was cleaning it up. Just then, an idea struck my mind. Why can’t I write short comic strips on disability? As I tried finding out more about this, I found this amazing application that allows me to make small comic characters easily. I feel like I have found a new way of expressing my ideas and experiences to the world!
