Respected Promilla Srivastava ma’am,
I am writing this letter to thank you for motivating me to write many pages on history, art, and culture of India. After feeling motivated, I chose the profession of a writer. Your simple words to me, “you write well”, still echoes in my mind and is with me every step of the way, allowing me to write.
After writing successfully for various platforms, and after writing five books, I’ve realised, no matter if the instinct dies, some words leave an indelible mark on the minds which are unerasable. I again thank you because, in my bad times, your simple words did wonders for me.
Teachers Day is one of the most favourite days across the world, and it’s around the corner. Be it school or colleges, September 5 is observed as a teachers day to give respect. Our ‘gurus,‘ disguised as a potential guide, mentor, and coach have always taught us the appropriate way to lead a better life. At every juncture of our life, they make our life a better place to live. At every step, they remind us to allow the space for improvement. A teacher can give us full freedom to allow our self-esteem to grow. Teachers motivate us, inspire us, and make us realise our mistakes. In whatever form, they always give us better reasons to become a good person.
This is what I felt about you ma’am. You are still an inspiring human being who taught me never to look back.
Yours sincerely,
Disha Sharma
