Conversations around mental health become even more paramount in times of a crisis. Being lockdown at home for months at end, with no clarity of when and how life will resume normalcy, children and families from low-income groups are facing unimaginably stressful times, leading to increased mental health challenges.
Our teams working on the ground picked up cues based on daily conversations with children and their families, on how the ongoing lockdown was affecting them both emotionally and mentally. Observing a trend across multiple homes, we sought assistance from trained therapists and mental health experts to provide e-counselling services to address these looming challenges.
