Can poverty be eradicated?
The answer is yes, if we all join hands and work together. You may say that the lockdown has made our economy hit the dust, and we can’t think about eradicating poverty. But the ideas I am going to give you need minimum investment. There are professions that need little education and investment. These profession don’t exist in India but if we create them they will benefit us:
- Clean Engineers
Swatch Bharat was a mission set up by our PM. Clean engineers will work under this mission, and each ward or village will have 20 clean engineers who will be responsible for looking after the cleanliness, sanitation and health of the people.
- People’s Men:
They are the people who will work for the government and will collect reviews and feedback for the government to improve in specific areas. There will be 20 people in each ward or village.
- Idea Collectors:
Youth ki Awaaz is a platform where the youth share their ideas, but not everyone writes here. Idea Collectors will collect ideas from the people on the ground to tackle social issues and other problems.
- Delivery People:
Everyone does not have access to Amazon or Flipkart, and if we give people from various remote villages an opportunity, I think it will give people in far-flung areas access to these online platforms.
These professions don’t need a well-educated individual but need people who are ready to work. And if you ask me where the government will get the money from, the answer is that we already provide free food and have other welfare programmes. Instead of giving them free food, let them earn and contribute to our economy.
I want a change in my country, and if you’re reading this, Modi Ji, please implement these things. They will benefit us a lot.
