The coronavirus lockdown has affected the studies of a large number of students, especially those pursuing primary and higher education. It was impossible for educational institutions and students to foresee such uncertain times. Today, students are unable to study effectively because of the lockdown; they are away from their institutions and some are hardly able to get access to even basic stationery items. Studying is something that requires a lot of consistency to be effective and useful. But currently, there is this sort of unstoppable pause on our studies.
Role Of Educational Institutions During The Lockdown:
- Provide virtual classes through online platforms — Zoom, Google Meet, etc.
- Provide access to e-libraries for resources
- Assess students through assignments via online mode
- Encourage students to participate in online courses accessible to them
- Provide faculty support for solving the queries of students
- Provide extensions in fee submission dates
“Health is more than the absence of disease. Health is about jobs and employment, education, the environment, and all of those things that go into making us healthy.” – Joycelyn Elders
To conclude, we can observe that every education institution, at present, is trying their best to overcome the current situation and maintain their quality of education to ensure minimal losses to students due to the lockdown.
