Social distancing has turned into social boycott.
Social distancing is the key preventive measure against COVID-19, but our society lack civility. There are various cases, coming to light, of boycott of those suffering from the coronavirus. This is the time of survival against the pandemic. If the society boycotts them, it may further lead others to hide their travel history and avoid cooperation with the government and the medical team.
It is the collective responsibility of the individuals, society at large and the government to create a supportive environment for all who are combatting with COVID-19.
Fear of identification can be extremely damaging at this juncture as identification is the key to isolation of the positive cases for protecting others and stopping the spread in the community.
This is not the time for blame game by the government, rather it is the time of togetherness.
