#MyPeriodStory: My First Period

I didn’t have any idea what it was at that time.I was in class-6.We wore whites in Friday.I had a white skirt & t-shirt.So we were having lunch then when I got up to wash my hands one of my friends told me that there’s a red stain in the bench so my other friend replied to her that “ketchup gira Diya hoga..iska Roz ka Hai.”

Yeah well I’m a strange girl.I accidentally sometimes drop some pieces of food or ketchup here & there. So we nod along & moved to the washroom.

When the bell rang everyone hurried up & packed their bags & run out.I also did the same.I jumped & skipped like a little girl infront of boys as well as girls. Then finally I came to the rickshaw.

Afterwards,I reach my home & jumped off the rickshaw. Then while walking away one of my junior boy said”Didi aap kahin Gir gayi thi Kya?”I replied”No..why?”He said”aapke leg me blood Laga Hai.”I looked down & saw it.Then another girl, she was also a junior, said”Nahi main btati hun Kya Hai ..aap jayiye Didi.”I was in shock.Walking towards my home I had all sorts of questions in my mind”what the hell was that?”,”what happened to me?”,etc.I shook off all the thoughts away & knocked the door.My maa opened it & I said “Maa kuch Hua Hai hmko.”She noticed the blood & dragged me to the bathroom. She,then explained about periods & it comes evrye month also it happens to the girls & not boys. She showed me a pad.I raised a brow & said”tab toh babies Ko bhi hota hoga..kyunki yeh toh Huggies jaisa hi Hai.”My maa facepalmed & said”Nahi yeh alag Hai..”Then after putting it.I came outside & sat in the balcony. My father was sitting beside me.He asked me”Kya Hua beta?”I didn’t have any idea at that time that we don’t talk about this to any gents. So I told everything to my father. My maa was standing there watching me & she called me then.I went to her & she told me we are not allowed to talk about this to any male.I then didn’t question her much & agreed to it.

Well this was my first period story. It was a mishap because I didn’t know what it was.I’ll just say”Please talk about this. You don’t have to be ashamed of anything.Everyone has studied about this during their school time. So,just tell your daughters, friends or any girl to whom you are related to or know them.Be proud,it’s a part of your body.Just SPEAK.”
