Article 370: Only Views That Matter Are Of The People Of Kashmir

370 and 35A are not as easy to comprehend as we see people explaining them on Facebook and other social media platforms since their abrogation. I appreciate their efforts, but all the essays rolling online about 370 and 35A’s removal are half-truths and it is not the people’s fault. It’s difficult to understand the bill entirely. If you followed everything, you would definitely raise questions about August 5, 2019.

Kashmir is not some fantasy land. It is not about you spending your honeymoon there with your beloved, singing “yeh haseen waadiyan, yeh khula asmaan”, it is neither the land of the upbringing of terrorists for whom Kashmir is just a mission. Kashmir is way beyond our level of understanding. I appreciate your visit to Kashmir as a tourist. All your photos must be great DP material, but there’s more to Kashmir, and only Kashmiris knows what it is!

You, sitting in anywhere else on this planet cannot fathom what they are going through for the last 70 damn years. You just can’t! It is not possible dear countrymen. Accept it. In retrospect, you should stop passing expert comments on the crisis or the Bill! Act for the wellbeing of KASHMIRIS. Empathy is the word, not sympathy.

And as long as the abrogation of Articles is concerned, I choose to stick to the statement: the process was duly unconstitutional, undemocratic. Period.

Imagine living under threat for five days with all connections cut down from the rest of the world. The blockade still exists, and neither you nor I am suffering, but the Kashmiris—the aboriginals of the region with their rights violated as they live at gunpoint. I urge you to stop for a while and place yourself in their shoes before commenting on them.
