According to a survey, women spend almost 18 months of their life worrying about their skin; the average woman worries about the appearance of her skin for 32 minutes every single day. That’s quite a lot!
Beauty is not in the face. Beauty is not in skin colour. Beauty is not wrinkle-free skin. Beauty is not in the long hair or how the colourful curls on your head roll upon your neck. Looks don’t have to define your beauty. Always remember, beauty is more than skin deep. It is not what you see outside, but who you are on the inside.
Everything goes away; your dark circles, your wrinkles, your spots and your acne. The layers of your skin don’t define who you are as a person, who you are to yourself, to the people around you and who you are to the world. Take care of your health, try to maintain a proper weight and diet. Always take care of yourself, your mind and your heart. Eat healthy, exercise, run, jump, relax but, don’t chase beauty. Don’t spend hours worrying about your skin or hair colour. Love yourself as you are! In my opinion, instead of focusing too much on outer beauty, one must always choose to value inner beauty. Your skin and hair colour don’t really matter, none of them defines who you truly are!
Always choose to count your blessings! It is estimated that 150 million people worldwide are homeless. Habitat for Humanity in 2015 estimated that 1.6 billion people around the world live in “inadequate shelter”.
It’s time for you to feel lucky for the things that you have. If you have water to drink, food to eat, a place to live in, you should be thankful for the universe for there are millions out there suffering every single day for the shelter, water and food.
Also, you must always remember that skin colour never matters in real relationships. No person who truly loves you will leave you for your skin colour or on seeing your outer scars. If someone ever tells you that you are not beautiful, tell them that you feel pity seeing their colourless mind and heart.
No one can take away our inner glow. Nothing is more beautiful than a kind heart!
This world is too big to only care about skin, hair and looks. There is too much going on around us all the time. This universe doesn’t stop for you and me, this world is not going to end with our anxiety and sadness. Don’t put your happiness in someone else’s hands. Just because someone tells you that you are not beautiful doesn’t make you an ugly person from within. Count your blessings. Focus on what you’ve got. Spread the positive vibes.
Live. Love. Laugh.
