The first movie after Endgame, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” follows Peter Parker as he continues his fight against crime while reminiscing about Iron Man/Tony Stark.
The Plot
While fighting against crime, Peter Parker/Spider-Man can’t seem to forget the memories of Tony Stark/Iron Man. However, things start to change when he embarks on a school trip to Europe. Peter decides to leave the Spidey Suit behind as he wants to enjoy the journey with his friends and the girl he likes.
Peter did this because he thought that there would be no need for Spider-Man in Europe, but he turns out to be wrong when he’s encountered by Nick Fury, who makes a revelation which is shocking for Peter.
The Cast
The movie will star Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man who proved to be probably the best Spider-Man in the Marvel Universe with his fantastic role in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and in the superhero’s own movie Spider-Man: Homecoming. We will also see a familiar yet new face to the MCU, Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal. Zendaya will play the female lead role as Michelle “MJ” Jones. Though the name of the character is entirely different from the original love interest, the initials ‘MJ’ will make fans nostalgic.
The Teaser Trailer
The fans (me, personally) were disheartened after the death of Spider-Man in Avengers: Infinity War thinking that we won’t get to see more of one of the best Spider-Man/Peter Parker representations on screen. The teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home proved to be a light of hope for Spider-Man fans and a major hint for Avengers: Endgame. Uploaded on January 15, 2019 on YouTube, the teaser trailer of the movie has amassed 44M views and a whopping 1.2M likes.
The teaser has a humorous tone as it follows Peter through his trip to Europe with his best friend, classmates, and his love interest. A hilarious scene is where Happy Hogan and Peter’s aunt May Parker compliment each other’s looks and clothing while Peter (in the Spider-Man costume with his mask off) stands beside them. The only words that came out of his mouth are “What just happened?”
The Trailer
After the death of Iron Man/Tony Stark in Avengers: Endgame, the fans realized the harsh truth that Tony Stark won’t make an appearance in any of the upcoming MCU movies.
The trailer has a more serious tone than that of the teaser trailer as it shows Spidey remembering his mentor Tony Stark. He is looking at a graffiti of Iron Man on a building while he is heard saying, “Everywhere I go, I see his face. I just really miss him.” to Happy Hogan who replies, “Yeah, I miss him too,” further adding, “I don’t know if Tony would’ve done what he did if he didn’t know that you were gonna be here after he was gone.”
The trailer further follows Peter Parker as he goes on a trip to Europe and ignores calls from Nick Fury who introduces him to Mysterio and tells him that there’s a problem in Mysterio’s Universe’s Earth. The trailer further shows Spider-Man helping Mysterio in his Universe. wearing a costume very familiar to Spider-Man fans. Our eyes will be treated with Spider-Man wearing the Noir Stealth Suit!
Conclusion
The trailer seems very promising and has excited a lot of fans as it starts post the Endgame story. I believe that the movie will prove to be awesome and will give MCU many more storylines to follow.
